If you’re reading this, it’s time to get engagement photos! As a South Florida wedding photographer and local, I’ve gotten to shoot some incredible couples in some of the most beautiful spots in the whole state. Below I’ve put a few of my favorite locations to take engagement photos- take a look!
Dubois Park is one of my favorite places to shoot! It’s kind of like a bundle pack kind of spot. You get a little bit of everything! Can’t decide between greenery, ocean, lighthouse, rocks, or a rustic old house? It’s all here. We can focus on a key area or run around to all of them! This is perfect for couples who want some variety or have a longer engagement session booked since there’s so much you can do here.
For the edgy beach lovers. A little more secluded than Palm Beach, but has some really cool rocks to pose on and get those dreamy mermaid like shots under the sunset! It can be a little tricky to time low tide with sunset, but if you’re a local and have some flexibility, we can really make some magic here.
A true dream come true. Riverbend Park is down in Jupiter and really feels like you’re not in Florida anymore! The Spanish moss is so gorgeous and the way the light comes through? Swoon. There’s all these beautiful walkways and bridges, as well as this stunning abandoned fireplace that everyone loves. Don’t forget to bring some bug spray though- it can get a little muggy out there!
Worth Ave is known for tons of luxury shopping and feels a bit like Old Italy. It’s super luxurious and high end, with tons of little hidden nooks and crannies that you can sneak into! Between the boxwood walls, cobblestone walkways, and the mosaic tiles- it’s truly such a stunning place. And you can make it a date night and grab a fancy dinner after!
A popular spot to head to after Worth Ave is Palm Beach itself. A lot of my signature #WaterWednesday portraits are taken here! It’s a classic dreamy beach backdrop of course, but there’s also some cool spots of greenery and the infamous clock tower to spice things up!
Delray Oaks has a similar feel to Riverbend Park, but is further south- which makes it more convenient for a lot of my West Palm and lower clients! What I love about this area is how it feels like a little tropical rain forest! You can really get some magical boho-like shots here with all the palm leaves and greenery. So beautiful!
Last but not least, Tree Tops Park! Again, another beautiful greenery filled spot, but this park has these seriously stunning tall trees that make you feel like you’re in a story book. It’s tucked away and really secluded, so you feel like you took a mini vacation to somewhere exotic and adventurous. Since there’s not too many people around, you and your fiance can really feel free to be yourselves and not feel self conscious of others watching!
My bonus suggestion- pick somewhere special to you! South Florida Engagement photos don’t have to be in a specific spot or have any specific look. We can make incredible photos anywhere. Maybe where you had your first date, your first kiss, where they proposed? Or just your favorite spot to hang out! An experienced photographer can create magic anywhere as long as there’s two people in love.
